Who is it suitable for?
This course is specifically designed to help build the skills of individuals interested in working and entering into a Customer Service role. The course will give you the foundation and key skills you need to demonstrate to employers that you understand the sector and are ready to start your career. It provides you with the knowledge and understanding in customer service if you’re likely to be working with customers on a daily basis as part of a job role.
Entry Requirements
Learners should be 14 or over and it is recommended that they have a good level of literacy (verbal and written) skills.
How many credits are required to complete it?
To complete the Highfield Level 1 Certificate In Personal Development for Employability (RQF),
learners must complete the following:
• One mandatory unit
• a minimum of 12 credits from the optional units comprising:
o a maximum of 6 credits at Entry Level
o a minimum of 6 credits at Level 1 and/or 2
Delivery & Content
This course will be delivered through offline sessions.
There is 1 mandatory unit: Self-assessment, and a number of optional units to choose from as per your job role interests and future prospects.
Assessment
All units are internally assessed by your Tutor or Assessor using a portfolio of evidence.

Outcomes & Progression
Learners who successfully complete one of these qualifications may progress in one of the following routes:
• Employment: Successful learners in completing this qualification will gain the skills and knowledge required to start work in a variety of different sector areas e.g. security, customer
service.
• Education: Successful learners may wish to continue with their educational development and look towards completing the higher-level qualification in personal development for employability (Level 2) available from Highfield, or work towards a more specific work based qualification.
