Level 2 Award Principles of Fire Safety Awareness

  • This qualification is aimed at anyone involved in the management of fire safety in any workplace.  This includes managers, supervisors, team leaders, fire wardens (marshals) and staff working in any area where there is a potential risk of fire.

    Learners gaining this qualification will know that fire safety is the responsibility of everyone in the workplace and will recognise the consequences of fire in any premises.

  • To complete this qualification, learners should expect to undertake 6 hours of guided learning.

  • These include hazards and risks, the control of fire risk, principles and practice of fire safety management at work and the role of the nominated fire warden.

  • This qualification is assessed by a multiple-choice examination.

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

Due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, all classroom training and assessments have been postponed and our training centers will remain closed until further notice.

We are closely monitoring guidance from the UK Government and NHS England and will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.

In the meantime, we are working with all our learners and apprentices remotely using a variety of methods, including distance learning materials, e-learning platforms, and video conferencing facilities.

Our staff is currently working from home and staying in touch with our learners and apprentices using the above methods.
