L3 Apprenticeships Insurance Practitioner

  • The Insurance Practitioner Apprenticeships is an entry level role into the industry and can lead into a variety of careers with supporting professional qualifications. Future career paths could include underwriting, client relations, insurance claims, loss adjusting, broking, reinsurance and account management. This standard provides the competencies which will be achieved as part of an introduction to the industry and which will be transferable across future roles and companies.
  • CiiLevel 3 Certificate in Insurance (Cert Cii)
  • 13 — 18 months

Apprentices will be required to have or achieve Level 1 Functional Skills English and Maths (or equivalent) and to have taken Level 2 English and Maths tests prior to completion of their Apprenticeships.

One of the following may be added to the Apprenticeships:

  • Fire Safety
  • Health and Safety
  • Emergency First Aid at Work
  • Conflict Management
  • Online courses in: Prevent, Equality & Diversity and Safeguarding

Apprentices will undertake a series of taught workshops blended with e-Learning and e-Portfolio resources covering the following:

  • Insurance Market
  • Risk and Regulatory
  • Clients and Colleagues
  • Process and Procedures
  • Commercial Awareness

Candidates will be “On Programme” assessed in the workplace at least once every  8/10 weeks, to evidence competence in knowledge, skills and behaviours required  for EPA End Point Assessment (EPA):   Portfolio and Reflective Discussion

Levy employers: £9000 per candidate from your digital account Non-levy employers: Funded with a 10% employer contribution Please note: For any Apprentice under the age of 25, the employer will be exempt from paying their National Insurance Contributions

This apprenticeship provides professional membership of the Chartered Insurance Institute and/or the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjustors. It is also the first step on the route to an Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII) qualification or Associateship of the CILA (ACILA).
